Stewart Davis Morrill , October 20, 1949 — December 09, 2018

Stewart Davis Morrill our loved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend, passed away at his home on Sunday, December 9th, 2018. Stewart was born in Roosevelt, Utah on October 20, 1949 to Blayne and VaLois Morrill. He spent his childhood in the Uinta Basin.

At the age of 19, he served as a missionary in the Franco-Belgium mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He would return from his mission and marry Becky Ann Bellon in the Salt Lake City Temple on December 17, 1971. Stewart received a Bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University and upon graduation he returned to Roosevelt and took a position as a shop instructor for Union High School.

He later switched professions and worked for Mack Gilbert Communications. However, he would spend the majority of his career working for Chevron where he was employed as a Telecommunications Engineer. He enjoyed his profession and the people that he worked with.

Stewart was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served faithfully in many positions. Stewart loved being outside and his favorite thing to do was to take pictures of nature, especially birds, bears, and anything in Yellowstone and Alaska. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Nathaniel.

He is survived by his wife, Becky, and his four children, Melissa (Adam), Torrey (Jill), Kimberlee (Steve), and Sterling (Becky), fourteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and brother, Bart Morrill. The family is grateful to the skilled doctors and nurses who cared for him the past few months. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Syracuse Stake Center, 1350 S. 1800 W., Syracuse.

Friends may visit family Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, Syracuse City Cemetery.
