Linda Sue Hale, 71, of Lebanon passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon. She was born in Lebanon on November 14, 1947, the daughter of the late Cleo and Mable (Graham) Virtue. Sue attended Lebanon schools.

On November 25, 1961, she was married to Robert E. Hale for 43 years; he passed away in 2004. She worked for Alton Box Wood Wholesale, and worked in the cafeteria at Lebanon Middle School for 20 years. When in public she was affectionately known as the “Lunch Lady”.

She also helped out with their family business, Bob’s Used Tires. Sue enjoyed spending time with her family, camping, gambling and going out eat. She was huge Dale and Dale Earnhardt, Jr. fan.

Sue is survived by three sons, Steven (Shari) Hale of Lebanon, Rob (Heather) Hale of Lebanon, and Scott Hale of Lebanon; grandchildren, Steven Hale Jr., Bobby, Dustin, Tiffany, Tasha, Robin, Rachael, Mirah, Brian, Ali, Abbey, Alex; three step-grandsons, Brady Campbell, Brenndon Rodewald, Bryce Rodewald; six great grandchildren; sister, Peggy (Ed) Hine of Lebanon; along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, Sue was preceded in death by a brother, Leon Virtue, and two sisters, Ruby Frye and Viva Marlene Dickerson. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday February 4, 2019 at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana.

Visitation is planned for Monday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home in Lebanon. Sue will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon, Indiana. Memorials may Boone County Cancer Society, 117 West Elm Street, Lebanon, Indiana 46052.
