Dean, 82, of Lebanon, passed away Jan. 11, 2019, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. Louella was born May 14, 1936, in Crawfordsville, a daughter of the late John and Hazel (Bever) Houser.

She married Delmar Dean 61 years ago, in 1957. He survives. Louella attended the Methodist Hospital School of Nursing, and worked as an OB and surgery nurse at Witham for over 30 years, retiring in 1990.

Up until her death, Louella remained a Registered Nurse. Louella loved sewing and crafts. She also loved sports and traveling.

Survivors include her husband, Delmar Dean of Lebanon; son, David (Jill) Dean of Lebanon; daughter, Barbara A. (Tony) Carrell of Lebanon; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Katlyn) Carrell of Laplace, LA, Ellen (Ryan) Dernay of Mishawaka, Julie Carrell of Shelbyville, Matthew David (Bailey) Dean, and Hannah Crosby; and great-grandchild Gatten Dean. Louella was preceded in death by her grandson, Adam Dean. Family and friends will gather Tues.

, Jan. 15, 2019, for visitation from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and funeral services will be held on Wed. , Jan.

16, 2019, at 10:30 a.m., with Pastor Craig Carrell officiating, in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon. You are invited to visit the website www. strawmyerdrury.com where you may sign her online register and leave a personal message.
