Susan Elaine “Gret” (Jones) Young, 65, of Parks Twp. (Vandergrift), PA, passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Butler Memorial Hospital. A daughter of the late Blaine Jones and Lillian (Wolfarth) Jones, she was born December 12, 1952 in Natrona Heights, PA.

Susan had been employed as an office manager with Sprankles IGA in Leechburg for 17 years. She graduated from Highlands School District in 1970 and attended Pleasant View Brethren Church in Parks Twp. Susan enjoyed flower gardening and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Andrew C. Young of Parks Twp. , PA; two daughters, Samantha Jones (Arlen) of Dallas, TX, and Heather Young (Patrick Bowser) of Worthington, PA; five grandchildren, Andrew and Seth Waugaman, Shiley Bowser, A.J. and Lydia Jones; a brother, Robert Jones (Annette) of Fawn Twp. , PA; a sister, Judith Gleinn of Natrona Heights, PA; and a sister-in-law, Darlene Shaffer (Charles) of Baden, PA.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Vorp; a sister-in-law, Judy McLaughlin; and three brothers-in-law, Larry Gleinn, Dean Vorp and Floyd “Butch” Young Jr. Friends welcomed by her family on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main Street, Leechburg (724-842-1051) where funeral ceremonies will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, May 30, with the Reverend Todd W. Ruggles officiating. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
