Obituary for Susan Hughes Private services will be held for Susan (nee Stipan) Hughes, 74, a lifetime resident of Lake County. Mrs. Hughes passed away Jan. 10, 2019, at her residence in Willowick.

She was born Sept. 4, 1944, in Cleveland. Susan was loved by many and known for feeding anyone who looked hungry.

So many of her grandchildren’s friends remember her amazing breakfast pizza and sausage gravy. She had an uncanny knack for creating delicious meals out of next to nothing and we will miss every delicious bite. If she wasn’t in the kitchen or enjoying time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she was enjoying her Mandarin Television shows.

Susan was the loving mother of Susan M. (Robert) Rhodes of Eastlake; cherished grandmother of Kory E. Rhodes and Brandon M. (Sarah) Rhodes; great-grandmother of Ricky T., Zachary N., and Jameson Patrick; and sister of Paulette (Eddy) Guelker of Wickliffe. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Ricky T.; and parents, Victor and Olga Stipan. Arrangements are entrusted to McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Homes in Willoughby and Mentor.
