Sylvia Waddell Darst, 66 of Charlestown, IN passed away on Saturday July 14, 2018 at her residence. Sylvia was born on March 24, 1952 in Franklin Furnace, OH to Alfred and Elin Waddell. She worked as an administrative assistant in the Dean’s Office at The Ohio State University and also the University of Louisville.

She was preceded in death by her father Alfred Waddell. She is survived by her husband Robert Darst, Jr; sons, Robert Darst, III (Debbie) of Charlestown and Jason Darst ( Krista) of Jeffersonville, IN; mother, Elin Waddell of Portsmouth, OH; brothers, Arthur Waddell of Franklin Furnace, OH, Bobby Waddell of Minford, OH, Mike Waddell of Amanda, OH, John Waddell of Franklin Furnace, OH and Vernon Waddell of San Antonio, TX; sisters, Mary Ann Sainopulos of Lucasville, OH and Tina Thomas of Manassas, VA; grandchildren Madelyn and Jacob Darst. Funeral services will be held at 3 pm on Wednesday July 18, 2018 at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Charlestown Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 am to 3 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
