Obituary for Texann Jacqueline Johnson Texann Jacqueline Johnson, of Pine Bluff, left this world to be with the Lord Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at home at the age of 81. Texann was born August 19, 1937 in San Diego, California to the late Wilbur Francis Yarbrough and Rose Elizabeth (Fraizer) Desbrow. She was a homemaker and resident of Newton County for some 30 years before joining her daughter in Pine Bluff in 1987.

In her early years, she met and married Roy W. Johnson, a young Navy sailor stationed in San Diego on November 15, 1952 in Yuma, Arizona. They had two children together before he retired in 1965 and they relocated to Marble Falls and later Jasper in Newton County, Arkansas. Texann was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She also had a great passion for her flower gardens and decorating her home. She was a very delightful person and everyone that had met her will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 56 years, Roy Johnson; two sisters, Nancy Lee Hughes and Patricia Jean Canfield; and two brothers, William Edward Yarbrough Desbrow and David Otto Yarbrough; Texann is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, William and Teresa Johnson of Johnson City, Tennessee; daughter, Linda LaClair of Pine Bluff; half-brother, Carl Yarbrough three grandchildren, Brian Johnson, Kimberly Holt and Christopher LaClair; and two great grandchildren, Jaxon and Emelia Holt; numerous nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends, who loved her and will miss her.
