Thelma’s Obituary Thelma Irene (Wilder) Hassenpflug slipped peacefully into the arms of her beloved Savior early Friday morning at the age of 94. Born on November 21, 1924 in Denton County, she was the daughter of Kirby Charles and Carrie Lillian (Chamberlain) Wilder. She was a devoted member of Bolivar Baptist Church where she worshiped and praised her Lord and Savior.

Thelma worked outside the home as an office manager of a dental office for over fifteen years and yet when she came home, she helped her husband, Lawrence on the farm. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Most importantly, she was the Family Prayer Warrior.

She loved and prayed over each member her family daily. She greatly loved them, and they loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lawrence; two brothers, Charles Willard Wilder and Don Wilder; and one son, Sam LeGear.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her daughter Melinda Amyx of Sanger; her son Murphy LeGear of Gainesville; seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. A visitation will be on Monday, January 28, 2019 at 1:00 pm and funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm at the Bolivar Baptist Church. Pastor Dickie Amyx, son-in-law to Thelma, will officiate the services.
