Obituary for THELMA (OLGEATY) McNEILL Thelma A. McNeill, 85, of Liverpool, died Wednesday, August 29, 2018, at Upstate Medical Center. Born June 28, 1933, in Syracuse, NY, she was the daughter of the late John and Rose (Reale) Olgeaty. Thelma was a 1951 graduate of Solvay High School.

She was employed by Lipe Rollway, General Electric and Bon Ton, where she retired. She was a member of the Liverpool Community Chorus, volunteered for Meals on Wheels, participated on several committees at Christ the King Church as well as being a member of the Hearts of JOY club. Her biggest enjoyment was knitting winter caps for the less fortunate while watching SU basketball games and yelling at the tv.

She also enjoyed playing table games and cards – especially pitch as well as doing her crossword puzzles and getting the answers to the Sunday Jumble puzzle before her sister. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James McNeill. Survived by her children; Mary (Jack) Wilbur, of The Villages, FL, Sheila McNeill, of Reno, Nevada, Timothy (Brenda), of North Granby, CT and Michele McNeill, of Liverpool, NY; brother, John Olgeaty, of Solvay, NY; sister, Peggy Olgeaty, of Solvay, NY; grandson, Ryan McNeill and granddaughter, Lyndsey McNeill both of North Granby, CT; many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 9:00 a.m. Saturday, September 1, 2018 at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME and 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King Church, 21 Cherry Tree Circle, Liverpool, NY, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will follow is Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse. Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, 2601 Milton Ave, Solvay.
