Mrs. Thelma Rae “Tootie” Cooper April 20, 1935 – February 05, 2019 Share this obituary Send Sympathy Gifts Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card SERVICES: Friday, February 8, 2019 Jones and Son Chapel 11:00 a.m. INTERMENT: Newell Cemetery VISITATION: Thursday, February 7, 2019 Jones and Son Funeral Home Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 8, 2019 at Jones and Son Chapel for Mrs. Thelma Rae “Tootie” Cooper, age 83, of Richton. Mrs. Cooper passed away to her heavenly home on February 5, 2019 at the Asbury Hospital. Bro.

Anthony O’Neal and Bro. Joshua Dunn will officiate with burial to follow in the Newell Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Heath James, Tyler Pittman, George Lott, Chap Pope, Bryson Turner and Ashton McLain.

Honorary pallbearers will be Zane Carnahan, Colton Phillips and Donnie Clark. Mrs. Cooper was preceded in death by her husband, Henry M. “Tubby” Cooper; parents, Jim and Mamie McLain; several brothers and sisters. She is survived by her sons, Henry Martin (Martha) Cooper of Livingston, TX, Thomas Marlin (Stephanie) Cooper of Richton; daughters, Aleta (Jimmy) James of Richton, Henrietta (John) White of Richton, Gloria Jean Pittman of Richton, Renee (Nathan) Lott of Richton; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Cooper was a faithful member of Good Hope Baptist Church in Richton for over 72 years. She retired from housekeeping after 38 years of service from Perry County General Hospital. We the family would like to thank Jones and Son Funeral Home, Windham House and Asbury Hospice for taking such wonderful care of Mother.
