Burlington, WV – Theodore Eugene “Gene” Clipp, 78, of Burlington, WV and formerly of Hagerstown, MD passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Meritus Medical Center Hagerstown, MD. He was born on May 24, 1940 in Downsville, MD to the late Theodore Cleveland and Daisy Viola Fiddler Clipp. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Nancy Lee Byers Clipp in 1981.

Gene was a truck driver most of his working life and hauled for many businesses in the Hagerstown, MD area. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a member of Teamsters Local #992 of Hagerstown, MD.

He was a previous member of the Funkstown Rod & Gun Club. Gene was an avid hunter and enjoyed Nascar racing. He is survived by his wife Deborah Sue Graff Clipp whom he married on January 29, 2014; son Roy C. Clipp (Cheryl) of Boonsboro, MD; son Richard A. Clipp, Sr. of Hagerstown, MD; son Jeffrey T. Clipp (Jody) of Hagerstown, MD; sister Rosalie J. Holmes (Gary Sr.) of Hagerstown, MD; brother Wayne C. Clipp, Sr. (Ruth) of Hagerstown, MD; brother Charles C. Clipp, Sr. (Janice) of Clear Spring, MD; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Gene was predeceased by a son Eugene Theodore Clipp, grandson Michael E.S. Clipp, brother David Lonnie Clipp, daughter in law Karen V.R. Clipp and brother in law Gary C. Graff. The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 from 6:00-8:00 pm. The funeral home will be open after 9:00 am on Wednesday for the convenience of family and friends.
