Thomas C. Laffin, age 74 of Cambridge formerly of North Branch passed away on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at GracePointe Crossings in Cambridge. Tom was born on July 22, 1944 in Minneapolis to parents, Clarence and Hazel (LaValla) Laffin. He moved with his family to the Brainerd area and graduated from Brainerd High School in 1962.

He eventually took a job driving truck for McLean Trucking Company and in 1984 starting driving a redi-mix truck until his retirement.

He married Arlene F. Hoheisel on February 1, 1969 in Minneapolis. They lived in northeast Minneapolis and eventually bought a hobby farm near North Branch in 1978. Thomas loved his time caring for the animals and maintaining the farm.

He also enjoyed his time hunting and fishing and watching the Minnesota Vikings but mostly the time spent with his grand kids. Tom is survived by his wife of 50 years, Arlene; sons, Brock (Darci) of North Branch and Brad (Jami) of North Branch; grandchildren, Kelsey (Joe) Prell of Pine City; Kiera, Blake and Brody Laffin of North Branch; his great grandson Drake Prell and granddaughter, Lydia, due in December; brother, Chuck (Georgia) Laffin of Crosby and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Hazel and sister, Carole Bokusky.
