Obituary for Thomas D. Pullen CENTRAL CITY—Thomas D. Pullen, 70, of Central City, passed away Thursday, September 13, 2018, at Bryan Medical Center East Campus in Lincoln. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 17, 2018, at Palmer-Santin Funeral Home in Fullerton with Rev. Murry Johnston officiating.

A private family inurnment will be at a later date at Main Cemetery in Belgrade. Military honors will be provided by Rathbun-Fehrs American Legion Post 99 of Belgrade and Nebraska Military Honor Guard. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Sunday, September 16th at the funeral home.

Palmer-Santin Funeral Home in Fullerton is serving the family. Tom was born November 7, 1947 to Robert and Martha (Holtorf) Pullen at Central City. He grew up in rural Central City and Clarks.

He attended country school and graduated from Fullerton High School in 1965. He then attended Wayne State College for two years. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in the Army Security Agency in Korea and Hawaii.

After, he returned home and graduated from the University of Nebraska with a degree in accounting and finance. He then moved back to Central City and married Beth Imus on March 20, 1982 at Central City, where they made their home. He worked for over 40 years at Bill’s Volume and Sales in Central City and retired in October 2016.

He was very active within the Central City community and served on the Merrick County Board of Supervisors for eight years. He loved attending his nephews’ basketball and football games. His greatest joy was golfing with his friends.

He is survived by his wife, Beth of Central City; son, Geoffrey (Terry) Brennan of Omaha; brother, Bill Pullen of Lincoln; sisters, Judy Greenlee of Columbus and Margaret Pullen; brothers-in-law, Terry Imus of Mitchell, SD and Lowell (Jill) Imus of Albion; and his two lifetime friends, Jack Kramer of Fullerton and Dick Evers of Lincoln.
