Burlington – Thomas “Tommy” Edward Hill, Jr., 55, passed away Friday, June 15, 2018 at his home after 13 months of battling cancer. Tommy was born on December 10, 1962 in Alamance County to the late Thomas “Tommy” Edward Hill, Sr. and Betty Gray Mitchell Hill and was the husband to Tammy Black Hill of 32 ½ years. Tommy formerly worked with Copland Fabrics for 36 years.

Survivors other than his wife, Tammy Black Hill include his daughter, Taylor Austin Hill; sisters, Deborah Summey and husband, Jimmy, and Betty Jean Hill; special nieces, Courtney Hill, Jennifer Ely and Katie Doby; a sister-in-law, Penny Hughes and husband, Terry; and his canine companion, Spot. The funeral service will be held 2:00pm Sunday, June 17, 2018 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev.

Steve Pruitt with the burial to follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 1:45pm Sunday prior to the service and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Open Bible Baptist Church, 610 S. Beaumont Ave.
