Obituary of Thomas Hart Thomas Philip “Tom” Hart, 75, of Stow passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Jennings Nursing Home in Garfield Heights, Ohio. Tom was born in Cleveland to George and Florence Hart on July 15, 1942. He proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1963 to 1969, spending two of those years in Guam.

Tom worked in IT at Republic Steel, later LTV Steel for 31 years. He worked his last five years in IT at Kent State University. Tom is survived by his wife of 53 years, Lorie Hart (Boczek) of Stow; children, Susan McDade (Rod) of Stow and Steven Hart (Joya) of Akron.

He was grandfather to seven and uncle to many nieces and nephews. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, George and Florence; infant son, Robert Joseph Hart; sister and brother-in-law, Lois and John Zimmerman; and sister, Mary Barbo. Calling hours will be Thursday, July 12 from 3 to 7 PM at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, 3179 Kent Road, Stow. Tom will be interred at All Souls Cemetery, Chardon, Ohio. He will rest near his parents and siblings, the Hart family together once again.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 1815 W. Market Street, Suite 108, Akron, OH 44313.
