Troy Michael Svoboda, 54, lifelong Grand Island resident, passed away Thursday, May 9, 2019 at CHI St. Francis. Services will be 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at All Faiths Funeral Home. Daniel Naranjo will officiate.

Troy was born April 22, 1965 at Grand Island, Nebraska to Harold and Susan (Gordon) Svoboda. He received his GED. On April 15, 1988 he was united in marriage to Peggy McCarthy.

Troy worked numerous jobs including Grand Island Waste Management, JBS Beef Plant, and lawn service, before health problems made regular activities difficult. Troy loved the Huskers, and adored his kitty and puppies, Lucky, Stormie, and Baby Kitty. He also enjoyed to fishing and spending time outdoors.

He was a dedicated WWE fan. Troy loved his family and never wanted to feel like a burden. Those left to cherish his memory include his life partner, Connie Finley; son, Michael (Danielle) Svoboda; daughters, Kellie Svoboda, Candace Lawhead of Witchita, Kansas and Amy (Jason) Ummel; grandchildren, Olivia, Maddie, McKenzie, Ascina, Casin, Alice, Tekoa, and Kandin; brothers, Chad (Kris) Svoboda, and Jeff Svoboda; sister, Nicole Svoboda; and the mother of his children, Peggy Svoboda.
