Troy was born on Wednesday, February 6, 1935, in Branson, Missouri, to Alfred Jacob and Isabella Marie Firmin Hodge. On April 15, 1957, Troy married the love of his life, Laura Jane Bozarth.

They were married for sixty-one years. Troy was a loving husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, cousin, and friend. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

Troy retired from the United States Army after twenty years of service, and was a Vietnam veteran. Troy is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred Jacob and Isabella Marie Firmin Hodge; sons, Todd, Dennis, and Timothy Hodge; daughter, Denise Hodge; brothers, Leo, James, and Homer Hodge; sisters, Maryanna Mead, Ellen Rose, and Lila Rodgers; and grandson, Zachary Daniel Lawrence. Troy is survived by his wife of sixty-one years, Laura Jane Bozarth Hodge, of the home; daughters, Cindy Stuart, of Maynard, Melinda Harris, of Pocahontas, and Jeanise (Daniel) Lawrence, of Maynard; brothers, Lewis (Joyce) Hodge, of Ozark, Missouri, and John Hodge, of Oregon; grandchildren, Laura (Paul) Asher, of Missouri, Brittany Newby, of Pocahontas, Meagan Harris, of Pocahontas, Brandy (Coty) Vandergriff, of Maynard, Justin Lawrence, of Maynard, and Troy Von Hodge, of Pocahontas; and great grandchildren, Catelynn, Abbie, Bentley, McKinley, Chloe, Hunter, Jaxson, and one-on-the-way.

A graveside funeral service will be held at the Pitman Cemetery, near Supply, at 2:00 pm, on Friday, December 28, 2018; Wilburn Baucum, officiating.
