Obituary for Tyler Joseph Oban NEW PALESTINE, IN – Tyler Joseph Oban, age 34, of Nashville, TN and New Palestine, IN, passed away on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis. He was born on April 29, 1984 in Indianapolis and graduated from New Palestine High School in 2002. He obtained his Bachelors in Entrepreneurship from Belmont University in Nashville in 2006.
While growing up, Tyler was a member of the New Palestine United Methodist Church. He most recently attended Rolling Hills Community Church while living in Nashville. Because of his strong faith he had a profound influence on many of his friends and family.
He went on several missionary trips with Justice and Mercy International. Tyler loved being outdoors where he could waterski, boat, and fish. Tyler also had a love for antiques and gained knowledge while working at an antique shop in Nashville.
Tyler had a love for music and his passion was the drums. During Tyler’s music career he played with many talented musicians and bands all across the nation. Tyler was most recently a member of The Railers, formally known as Tin Cup Gypsy.
Tyler is survived by his parents, Terry and Rachel Oban; sister, Leslie (Nathan) Hartinger; two nephews, Nathan and Matthew Hartinger; and grandmother, Norma Holloway. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joseph Holloway and Harold and Helen Oban. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 26, 2018, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy.
40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at New Palestine United Methodist Church, 3565 S. 500 W., New Palestine, IN 46163. Pastor Mark Wesler will be officiating.
