Obituary for Rosemary (McQuade) Dowling GREENFIELD – Rosemary (McQuade) Dowling, age 84, received her angel wings when she passed away at Hancock Regional Hospital Hospice on Thursday, July 19, 2018. Rosemary was born in Lebanon, IN, on April 24, 1934 to Louis Richard and Bertha Magdalene (Waltz) McQuade. She retired from Greenfield Banking Company and also worked at Ging, Free, Brand, Tosick, and Allen, Eli Lilly, Hancock County Abstract Company, and several other places.

She was a member and past president of Tri Kappa. As president of the American Cancer Society, she was instrumental in bringing the first Relay for Life to Greenfield. She was also a member of Bradley United Methodist Church.

Rose is survived by her husband of 67 years, James; daughter, Kathy; and grand dog, Piper. She will be sadly missed by Kathy, Stuart, Chris, Lindsay, Cooper, Addie Jo, Michael, Alyssa, Brynn, and Nash Barr, Joey and Pam Johnson, Nick Tuttle; nieces and nephews, Valerie Shake, MaryBeth McGee, Paula Lawrence, Candy Castellanos, Bob (Pam) Arnold, and Patrick McQuade; several great nieces and nephews; and many beloved friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Christine Dowling; sister, Martha Jean (William) Mason; and brothers, James, Richard (Gladys), John (Jackie) Phillip Michael, and Timothy McQuade.

There will be no calling or services per her request.
