Charley W. Brown, 81, of Middletown, IN, passed away at home on Sunday, September 23, 2018. He was born June 5, 1937 in Ingalls, IN to William and Martha (Rector) Brown. Charley was of the Baptist faith, graduated from the old Fortville High School in 1955.

He was a U.S. Army veteran and was stationed in Germany. Charley was an avid gardener and enjoyed attending auctions. He retired in 1997 after 35 years’ service as a tool and die maker from Guide Lamp.

Charley is survived by his wife Norma J. (Cooksey) Brown; sons: Rocky (Anna) Brown of Tennessee and William Brown of Indianapolis; daughter: Tanya Anderson of Atlanta, GA; 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; sister Florence Brown of Anderson. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Walter and George Brown. A funeral to celebrate Charley’s life will be held on Friday, September 28, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 am until the time of service. Burial will take place at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
