Obituary for Valeria M. Daus 89, of Louisville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at the Episcopal Church Home. She was born April 21, 1928 in Bradford, IN to the late John B. Buechler and Anna M. Keisler Buechler. Valeria was a sales representative for Avon for over 61 years and a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church.

She and her late husband Bob, were former members of Senior Friends, where they traveled extensively taking many cruises and enjoyed their visits to Daytona Beach. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, John R. “Bob” Daus; sisters, Geneva Margaret Smith, Juanita C. Smith, Agatha Uhl and three brothers, John C., Gilbert and Andrew Buechler. She is survived by her children, Patricia A. Totten (John), Janie M. Pohl (Gary); grandchildren, David Totten (Marisa), Scott Totten (Megan), Jennifer DeLion (John), Jason Pohl; brother, Herman Buechler (Doris) and great-grandchildren, Emily, Eloise, Kahlan, Anthony and Travis.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, April 23, 2018 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 7813 Shelbyville Road with burial to follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Ratterman Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Road, “in St. Matthews”. Memorial gifts in the form of contributions to St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church are welcome and appreciated.
