Life’s Reflections of Mother Veola Dillard Mother Veola Jenkins Dillard was born July 25, 1926 in Dumas, Arkansas to the union of Elijah Jenkins and Lottie Evans Jenkins to this union five children were born. Mother Dillard accepted Christ in 1939 at St. Peters Rock Baptist Church in Dumas, Arkansas under the leadership of E.L. Carter. She attended Dumas Public School District System.

Mother Dillard was employed as a cook in Arkansas and Chicago and later moving to Kansas City, Kansas where she also worked as a cook. Mother Dillard enjoyed traveling around the United States visiting Chicago, Illinois; Omaha Nebraska; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Dallas, Texas and Detroit, Michigan. She united with Calvary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late O.L. Brown, later she moved her membership to Bethel Baptist under the leadership of the late R.C. Higgs and her final church membership was 47th Street Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Charles E. Mitchell, Sr

She met and married A.D. Dillard in Kansas City, Kansas. Mother Dillard passed on March 7, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husband, A.D. Dillard; two sons; Earl Estes and Albert L. Jenkins; two sisters, Lottie Williams and Estella Jackson; two brothers, Earl Jenkins and Albert Jenkins.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories a nephew, James Jenkins (Doris) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin; daughter in-law, Velma Williams Estes in Meriden, Connecticut; other relatives and friends.
