Obituary for Vera Parker Stiles Zimmerman Vera Parker Stiles Zimmerman Springhill, LA Funeral services for Mrs. Vera Parker Stiles Zimmerman, age 94, will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, January 4, 2019, at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel in Springhill, LA, with Rev. Josh Blackwell and Lee Weeks officiating. Interment will follow in Springhill Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held Friday, January 4, 2019, 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm at Bailey Funeral Home. Mrs. Zimmerman was born on August 20, 1924 to Robert and Martha Murphy Parker in Logansport, LA and passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 in Bossier City, LA. She was a member of Central Baptist Church, and worked as the Secretary Administrator in the Woodlands Division of the International Paper Company, retiring after 25 years of service.

She loved her family and friends, cooking, good conversation, being a mentor, reading, working crossword puzzles, traveling, and keeping up with her family. Above all she loved her Lord and Savior and the strong faith he gave her. She is survived by her son, Larry Stiles and wife, Nancy of Friendswood, TX; daughter, Sandra Bounds and husband, Billy, of Cotton Valley, LA; four grandchildren, Marcella Penick of Richmond, TX, Eddie Stiles of Friendswood, TX, Ollie Stiles of Houston, TX, Randy Bounds of Bossier City, LA; two step-children, Don Zimmerman and wife, Cathy of Bossier City, LA, Lynda Clark and husband, Tommy of Springhill, LA; two step-grandchildren, Jordan Huber, Mandy Camp of Benton, LA; three great-grandchildren, Nathan Penick, Haiden Stiles, Brodie Stiles; four step great-grandchildren, Elayna Huber, Emma Huber, Abbie Camp, Novie Camp; and sister in-law, Jo Alice Parker Mrs. Zimmerman was preceded in death by husband, Zolon Stiles, and husband, Howard Zimmerman, her parents; sisters, Ima Parker, Betty Parker, Mary Weeks; and brother, Wilmer Parker.

Pallbearers will be Larry Stiles, Eddie Stiles, Ollie Stiles, Randy Bounds, David Griffith, and Billy Bounds. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Matlock, Don Zimmerman, Tommy Clark, and Todd Parker. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made, in Mrs. Zimmerman’s honor, to the American Cancer Association.
