Obituary for Charlene Elton Charlene Elton Taylor, AR Funeral services for Mrs. Charlene Elton, age 87, will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, January 3, 2019, at Bailey Funeral Home with, Rev. Randy Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Springhill Cemetery, Springhill, LA under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 3, 2019, 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm at Bailey Funeral Home. Mrs. Elton was born on March 29, 1931 to Charlie and Lilly Hoover Edwards in Parkdale, AR and passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 in Taylor, AR. She worked for Tyson Foods as a line worker, and was a homemaker.

She enjoyed fishing, being at the family deer camp, cooking, and spending time with family. She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Robert Lee Elton of Taylor, AR; two sons, Dwight Lee Elton of Sarepta, LA, Terry Joe Elton of Grapevine, AR; four granddaughters, Kerri Horn and husband, Jason of Haughton, LA, Miranda Welch of Hot Springs, AR, Kim Huckabee and husband, Brian of Sarepta, LA, Amanda Jones of Sarepta, LA; three grandsons, Ricky Elton of Taylor, AR, Timmy Elton and wife, Julie of Benton, AR, Donnie Joe Gaddy and wife Cindy, of Robeline, LA; eight great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Peggy Sue Drewery of Shongaloo, LA, Ann Martin of Taylor, AR; and daughter in-law, Janie Elton of Grapevine, AR. Mrs. Elton was preceded in death by her parents; son, Rickey Elton; daughter, Fran Gaddy; and her brother, Leonard Caskey.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Elton, Timmy Elton, Jude Elton, Jared Magby, Jason Horn, Rodney Drewery, Pat Huckabee. Honorary pallbearers will be Donnie Joe Gaddy, Brian Huckabee, Mike Drewery. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of Encompass Hospice, and to the staff of Summit Health and Rehab.
