Roy Dale Hightower, 83 of Junction City, LA, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at the Medical Center of South Arkansas in El Dorado, AR. Dale was born on August 20, 1935, in Junction City, LA to the late Pauline Tadlock Hightower and Roy Hightower. Dale was an outstanding Baseball player in the Old Tri County Baseball League and was a 1953 graduate of Junction City High School.

He worked several jobs before being called to the U. S. Army in 1958, serving at Ft Knox Kentucky in the 49th Armored Division, making the rank of Spec, 5, when discharged he returned to Junction City. He worked for years before being called back to the Army to the Berlin Crisis, when discharged he went back to work for Lion Oil, Monsanto, Ergon, Tosco, for 30 years as an Asphalt and Gasoline Technician, and retired January 1, 1998. He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife of 58 years, Dovie A. Hightower, son, Gregory Dale Hightower, two brothers, Billy Hightower, and James Hightower.

Survivors include his son, Jeff Hightower, two grandchildren, Hannah Marsh and husband Kyle, and Hunter Hightower and wife Chelsea, two great grandsons, Wade Wesley Marsh, and Kane Hunter Marsh, special friends, Sherman and Robin Worth. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday, February 8, 2019 at the Bailey Funeral Home in Junction City, AR. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 9, 2019 at the Roselawn Cemetery in Junction City, with Rev.

Mary Depper officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of Junction City, AR.
