Ronald Lee “Ronnie” Nelson, 60, of Smackover, AR passed away Sunday, March 24, 2019 in Clarksville, AR. Ronnie was born July 14,1958, in Eldorado, AR to William Ronald Nelson and Dottie Traylor Nelson. He was preceded in death by his father.

Ronnie was a restless spirit who always knew how to have fun. No matter if he was riding his Harley or planning his next practical joke or simply continuing his upcoming adventure, his sense of humor was what sustained him and everyone around him. He was just a child at heart who refused to be old.

He often said he really wanted to be a vampire or a Jedi when he grew up, lucky for us he never did. In fact according to him and I quote ” If you haven’t grown up by the time your 50 you don’t have to! Look it up, it’s in the rules”!

And he would have told you this after leaning in closer and saying “ok now this is just between us girls”. Those who knew him will most assuredly grieve his passing but when they remember him they will just as certainly laugh. Survivors include his mother, Dottie Nelson, three children, Mandy Primm and husband Tony, Kila Nelson and Paul Daly, Nicholas Johnson Nelson, two siblings, Jerri Nelson, and Bill Nelson, five grandchildren, Ballard Bennett, Noah Dalton, Nate Dalton, Gracie Daly, and Maddie Daly, mother of his children, Tammy Osgood, and fiancé Elizabeth Greer.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation services provided by Bailey Funeral Home of El Dorado, AR. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Ronald Lee Nelson please visit our Sympathy Store.
