Daniel L. Alford Sarepta, LA Funeral services for Mr. Daniel L. Alford, age 46, will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, February 2, 2019, at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel, Springhill, LA, with Rev. G.R. Collier, Rev. Daphne Roberts, and Chief Tommy Arnold officiating.

Interment will follow in Cotton Valley Cemetery, Cotton Valley, LA under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Saturday, February 2, 2019, from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm at Bailey Funeral Home. Mr. Alford was born on August 4, 1972 to David Lester and Brenda Louise Mosby Alford in Shreveport, LA and passed away on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 in Sarepta, LA.

He was a member of Community Church of North Webster. He was lead driver for Bill and Ralph’s, and was a Captain of Cullen Fire District 6. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, refereeing football with his father-in-law, helping with the Royal Rangers at church and spending time with the young adult’s group.

He was an avid Florida Gator fan and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife, Monicca Thompson Alford of Sarepta, LA; daughter, Kimberly Burnette and husband, David; four grandchildren, Wyatt, Leanna, Jaxxon, and Tae; sister, Paula LaCaze and husband, Andy of Springhill; two nephews, Randy Dyck, Jr., Zeth Dyck and wife, Jamie; great niece, Zoey Dyck; aunts, Beverly Alford, Ok Hui Alford; uncle, James Gannon; six cousins, Deborah Alford Mason, Kathy Alford, Frankie Alford, Tommy Ashley, Tina Sanchez, Rebecca Serna-Harvill; mother-in-law, Stacy Payne and husband, Ricky; father-in-law, Mike Thompson; three sisters-in-law, Callie Compton, Tiffany Heth and husband, John, Christy Lloyd and husband, Chad; two brothers-in-law, Rodney Thompson and wife, Crystal, Kyle Thompson and wife, Asia; and many other special nieces, nephews, and many great friends. Mr. Alford was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Heather Alford; and mother-in-law, Paulette Thompson.
