M. at Zion Travelers B.C. Mamou, LA. The visitation will be observed from 9:00 A. M. until service time of service at Zion Travelers B.C. with burial will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Eunice, LA.

Viana passed away on February 23, 2019 in Lafayette, LA. The Rev. Allen Ben will officate the service.

Viana Marie Darby Minor was born on December 8, 1956 to Gladys & Frank Darby Sr She was married to Byron Minor for 40 years. Viana was a devoted member of Zion Traveler B.C in Mamou, La.

She served as a counselor for the Youth Action Ministry earlier in her membership. Viana worked at KEUN radio staton for 20 years. She then went on to work as a bookkeeper for Eunice Developmental Center for the next 25 years.

Viana is survived by her husband Byron Minor of Eunice, LA. Four children: Marisa Darby of Austin, Texas; Johnathan (Samarah) Minor, Kevin (Christina) Johnwell,and Allison (Cecil) Green all of Eunice, Louisiana. Twelve grandchildren: Caleb Darby, Aaron Darby, Ambria Minor, Kymani Minor, Major Minor, Cecil Green Jr. Xavier Thomas, Aa’niyah Francis, Kevin Johnwell Jr., Amya Johnwell, Jaedyn Johnwell, & Kynadee Johnwell.

Five siblings: Cheryl Carter of Eunice, Wanda Darby of Houston, TX, Frank Darby Jr. of Oakland, CA, Glenn (Lajuanna) Darby of Springfield, MO, & DeNita Bellard-Hill. She is preceded in death by her parents Frank Darby Sr. & Gladys Lubin Darby, her brother Hal Darby, her sister Hilda Chavis, and her granddaughter Jaya D. Minor. Owens-Thomas Funeral Home of Eunice is in charge of arrangements.
