McPherson January 10, 1927 – March 10, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Violet Arlene (Allison) McPherson, 92, of McAlester, died Sunday, March 10, 2019 at her home. Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in McAlester. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at the McAlester Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Buel Lewallen officiating.

Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Memorial Park Cemetery. Violet was born on January 10, 1927 in Anadarko, Oklahoma to William F. “Bud” and Opal (Powell) Allison. She was a lifelong Baptist and was baptized in Willow Creek into the Oney Baptist Church on July 25, 1943.

She married Ray McPherson on October 27, 1945 in Anadarko, Oklahoma. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Dyanna and Thomas Wilson of Nashoba, OK, Karen and Terry Cargill of Tannehill, OK; thirteen grandchildren and a multitude of great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Lana McPherson and a brother-in-law, Loyd McPherson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray McPherson; daughter, Sandra Kay Ferguson; son, Billy Ray McPherson; parents, William F. “Bud” and Opal Allison; three sisters, Lula, Nadine and Fayrine.

Active pallbearers will be her grandsons, Tommy Ferguson, Brett Hamman, Timmy Ferguson, Bryce Hamman, Tracy Cargill, Bruce McPherson and Ryan Byington. Honorary pallbearers will be her great-grandsons.
