Obituary for Violet M. Dotson CASTLEWOOD, VIRGINIA – Violet M. Dotson, 79, died Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at Maple Grove Health Care Center, Lebanon, Virginia. She was born in Coeburn, Virginia; daughter of the late Claude and Destie Stanley Large. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Dotson; one son, Jerry Dotson; and eight brothers.

She is survived by three daughters, Patricia Marshall of Castlewood, Virginia, Angela Riley of Columbus, Montana, and Vanessa Burt of Hayden, Idaho; four sisters, Annis Pannell of Pound, Virginia, Betty Cook of King George, Virginia, Judy Buchanan of Wise, Virginia, and Patty Roberts of Titus, Florida; two brothers, David Large of Wise, Virginia and Larry Large of Pound, Virginia; eight grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. A Gathering of Remembrance for Violet M. Dotson will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, November 3, 2018 at her home at 2203 South Burton Ford Road, Castlewood, Virginia 24224.
