Virginia “Ann” McKenzie Boutwell, 78, of Phenix City, AL passed away Wednesday morning, January 16, 2019 at Piedmont Regional Medical Center in Columbus, GA. Graveside services will be held 10:00 am Saturday morning, January 19, 2019 at Lakeview Memory Gardens with Pastor Jimmy Stephens officiating. The family will receive friends at the graveside from 9:30 am to 10:00 am at Lakeview Memory Gardens in Phenix City.

Mrs. Boutwell was born May 2, 1940 to the late James T. McKenzie and Margaret Kimbrel Clapper. She had work with Coca Cola with 22 years of faithful service and was retired. She was a lady of heart and grace whom was deeply devoted to caring for her family.

Her joy was sharing love and special times of laughter with her grandchildren. She was a member of First Evangelistic Church in Phenix City. Other than her parents, she preceded in death by two brothers, James T. McKenzie, Jr. and Johnny Ray McKenzie.

She is survived by one son, Walter H. “Rudy” Boutewell, Jr., two sisters, Betty Jo Smice and Lori Nicholson and husband Gerald; two dearly loved grandsons, Andrew Shane Boutwell and wife Brandi, and Arye Hayden Boutwell, several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many caring friends.
