Wallace Roger “Wally” Peterson, 72, of Janesville, WI, died Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Beloit Memorial Hospital. He was born on June 19, 1946 in Wisconsin, the son of Wallace Randall and Mildred (Moffatt) Peterson. Wally was a 1964 graduate of Clinton High School.

He married Judy Erickson on March 16, 2007 in Janesville, WI. Wally was employed by Taylor Freezer in Rockton, IL for over 35 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, dancing, watching old westerns, and building birdhouses.

Wally also enjoyed traveling with his wife going to 15 states visiting civil war history sites. Survivors include his wife, Judy of Janesville, WI; Wally’s four daughters, Jodie (Mike) Francavilla of North Port, FL, Jackie (Maynard) Heger of Jefferson, WI, Jeanna (Chris) Jenkins of Kingsport, TN, and Jenell Peterson-Dorn of Sun Prairie, WI; grandchildren, Nate, Travis, Colton, Cameron, Chloe, Hunter, Chase, and Mason; great grandchildren, Brantley, Owen and Kinsley; step children, Mark (Ami) Orava of Roscoe, IL, Jason (Amy) Erickson of Beloit, WI, and Stacy (Steve) McDaniel of White Hall, MD; sister-in-law, Shirley Peterson of Janesville, WI; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents; sister, Sherri “Toot” Hoscheit and brothers, Gary and Dale Peterson.

Visitation of remembrance will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, February 7, 2019 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Rd. , Beloit, WI. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 8, 2019 in the funeral home.

Burial will be in Shopiere Cemetery. Memorials in his name may be given to the American Cancer Society. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.
