RaSheeda T. Whitlock, 40, of Roscoe, IL, died Sunday, March 24, 2019 in OSF St. Anthony Hospital, Rockford, IL after a battle with kidney disease. She was born April 2, 1978 in Beloit, WI, the daughter of Edwin and Georgia (LeShoure) Whitlock. RaSheeda was a 1996 graduate of Harlem High School.

She also attended the nursing program at Rock Valley College and Rasmussen College. RaSheeda was employed by various healthcare centers as a CNA. She enjoyed traveling to Florida, camping trips out West, her dog Ashley and watching cooking shows and giving her mom recipe tips.

RaSheeda was a member of Greater New Hope Church where she sang in the choir. Survivors include her son, Jalin Washington of Roscoe, IL; her parents, Edwin and Georgia Whitlock of Roscoe, IL; sister, Tiffany LeShoure of Roscoe, IL; aunts and uncles, Sharon (John) LeShoure-Smith, Christopher (Sheniece) LeShoure, Henry LeShoure, Betsy Coverson, Shirley Wickerson, Johnny (Maxine) Whitlock and George (Hattie) Whitlock; niece who was like a daughter, Jeanae Leigh; host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including Tesha Jackson and Dewinia Lewis. She was predeceased by her grandparents, William and Ocie LeShoure and George and Annie Mae Whitlock Sr.; sister, Carla Whitlock-Wimberly; brother, Kevin Whitlock; uncles, James Whitlock, Erastus Whitlock, Harry Whitlock, Willie Coverson and Warren Wickerson; and aunts, Hassie Heard, Mary Nell Studdard and Billie LeShoure.

Funeral service for RaSheeda will be at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, March 30, 2019 in the New Zion Baptist Church 1905 S. Mound Street, Beloit, WI. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service Saturday in the church.

Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, assisted the family with arrangements. Memorials may be given in her name to New Zion Baptist Church.
