Harold L. Vance, 80, of Beloit, WI, died Sunday, March 17, 2019 at the UW Hospital in Madison, WI. He was born February 27, 1939 in the Kickapoo Township of Vernon County, WI, the son of Gharld and Mildred (Salisbury) Vance. Harold married Patricia Vance (Schulz) on April 14, 1965.

Harold was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army on December 31, 1967 and then worked as a machinist/machine operator for Regal Beloit Corporation. Harold enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching football, and spending time with friends and family. He is the originator of rabbit fest and turtle fest.

Harold conquered many health problems throughout his life including six different types of cancer. He fought all the way up to his last breath. Behind his unmatched toughness, was the kindest, most caring and giving father, grandfather, husband, and friend one could ask for.

Survivors include his sons, Craig and Kenny (Jackie) Vance; grandchildren, Jessica Burn, D.J. Bell, Kyle Vance, Kollin Vance, Bryant Hinkle, and Tino Nowak; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Harlan and Gharld (Junior) Vance; sisters, Lillian, Lucille, Mary, Norma, and Pauline. Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 21, 2019 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, with Pastor Ian Stirrat officiating.

Burial will be in the Floral Lawn Cemetery, South Beloit, IL. Visitation of remembrance will be from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service Thursday in the funeral home.
