Obituary for Wanda Cohanski Clinton – Wanda Cohanski, 99, passed away on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Katherine Luther Residential Health Care with her family by her side. Wanda was born on January 6, 1919 in Utica, the daughter of Albert and Mary (Karkula) Jandzio. On May 31, 1941, Wanda married Walter J. Cohanski, a union of 41 years prior to his death on May 15, 1982.

Surviving is her son and daughter-in-law, Carey and Barbara Cohanski, Rome; grandchildren, Lori and Bryan Fazekas, NC, Susan and James Stockbridge, VA, Brian and Meaghan Cohanski, NC; great grandchildren, Eric, Patrick, Matthew, the future birth of twins, and nieces and nephews. Wanda was predeceased by brothers, Theodore, Chester and Edward. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12 noon at McGrath, Myslinski, Karboski & Nunn Funeral Directors, 470 French Rd.

, Utica. Funeral services will commence from the funeral home at 12 noon to Sacred Heart of Jesus Holy Cross Polish National Church, 206 Main St., New York Mills for a 1 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in Holy Cross Polish National Cemetery, Whitesboro.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances in Wanda’s name may be made to Sacred Heart of Jesus Holy Cross Polish National Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Wanda’s family is very grateful to the entire staff at Lutheran Care for the many years of compassionate and loving care.
