Wanda’s Obituary Tilton – Wanda Baird Hefling, 86, of Tilton, passed into the arms of Jesus at 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Gardenview Manor. She was born on November 6, 1932, in Sault St. Marie, MI, the daughter of William “Bill” Marie Carrick White. She married Vernie Baird in May 1949.

He passed away November 1981. She later married John Hefling on June 24, 1988 in Covington, IN. He survives.

Other survivors include: daughters, Susan (Charles) Koss of Sidell, Marjorie (Stacey) Gooch of Westville, foster daughter, Shannon Gosser; stepdaughters, Candy Hill of Indianapolis and Debbie Hefling of Indianapolis; sisters, Colleen (Jack) Knoblett and Pat (Jim) Willis; brother, Jackie (Debbie) White; grandchildren, Megan (Rob) Harry, Rick Koss, Jacob & Jason Gooch, Destiny, Noah, Maggie & Tim Hefling; great grandsons, Drew Harry and Elijah Hefling; and a special cousin, Rose Ellen Watson. She was preceded in death by her sons, Gary & Dennis Baird, brothers, David, Art, Jerry, & Sonny White, sister, Elizabeth Ann White, and a stepson, Tim Hefling. Wanda was a member of the First Assembly of God in Danville.

She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and loved singing and visiting with family. Funeral services 10 am Friday, February 8, 2019 at Robison Chapel in Catlin. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Indianola.

Visitation 4-7 pm Thursday, February 7, 2019 at Robison Chapel. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Online condolences at www.
