Obituary for Wanda Sue Layne Harold Wanda Sue Layne Harold, age 74, passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at Athens Place, where she was lovingly cared for in the last years of her life. Born March 12, 1944 in Sweetwater, TN, she worked as a Payroll Clerk at Vestal Manufacturing for about thirty-five years and was a member of the Sweetwater Methodist Church. She was the widow of Paul Mitchell Harold and daughter of the late Hooper and Opal Marie (Trotter) Layne.

Wanda will be remembered as a kind and loving person to all who knew her. Devoted to her friends and family, she was happiest when those in her life came together for shopping excursions, shared travels, and meals. She adored her nieces and nephews, always encouraging them.

Wanda was known for celebrating others, frequently sending cards in acknowledgement of life events. A devoted daughter and niece, she lovingly cared for her mother as well as her aunt and uncle at the end of their lives. Survivors include her brothers and their wives, Ben Layne (Sherry) of Chattanooga, Randy Layne (Sue) of Hendersonville, and Doug Layne (Anne Marie) of Knoxville; nieces and nephews, Kristi Long (Glenn), Joel Lane (Becky), Lindsey DeRosset (Chad), and Tyler Layne (Mary); and a host of great nieces and nephews.

One brother and sister-in-law, Terry and Barbara Lane, preceded her in death. A celebration of her life is scheduled beginning at 3:00PM on Sunday, July 15, 2018, at Kyker Funeral Homes, Sweetwater, TN. Rev.
