Obituary for James “Freddie” Guffee Jr Freddie Guffee, age 63, of Sweetwater, passed away on Tuesday, July 3, 2018. Freddie loved music and playing the drums. Preceded in death by his parents: Gladys and Fred Guffee, son: Joe Aaron Guffee, as well as his daughter Leslie’s mother: Amy Hill Guffee, and a brother-in-law: Bob Wells.

Survivors include his wife of 14 years: Laura Guffee, of Knoxville, daughter and son-in-law: Leslie and Jeffery Sloan, of Sweetwater, sister: Bettye Wells, of Lenoir City, brother: Robert “Bob” Guffee, of Orlando, FL. , several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 10, 2018, from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. with the funeral service to follow at 3:00 P.M. in Kyker’s Chapel with Rev.

John Campbell officiating. Interment to follow in the Christianburg Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Athens Federal Bank C/O Leslie Sloan: 761 New Hwy 68, Sweetwater, TN 37874.
