Wayne Belanger, 71, of Hillsboro, IL, passed away on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at 11:44 p.m. at Hillsboro Area Hospital, Hillsboro, IL. Cremation rites were accorded. Mr. Belanger was born on March 25, 1947, in Chicago, IL to Henry and Doris (Schultz) Belanger.

Henry proceded in death, and Doris survives in Las Vegas, NV. Mr. Belanger attended Willowbrook High School in Villa Park, IL. He obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing at Loyola University Chicago, and a Master’s Degree in Nursing at St. Xavier, Chicago, IL.

He worked as a RN Clinical Nurse Specialist at Hones V.A. Hospital, Hines, IL for 30 years. Mr. Belanger married Linda Senkerik on September 1, 1974, Chicago, IL. She survives in Hillsboro, IL.

Mr. Belanger was a member of the City of Hillsboro Natural Re Committee, Imagine Hillsboro, and Meals on Wheels. He loved to be outdoors, exercise, and collect axes. Mr. Belanger is survived by his child, Carrie Ann Belanger, Big Sur, CA; two brothers, Allen Belanger, Dale Belanger; and one sister, Marsha Gonzalez.
