Carole Sue Hart, 82, of Hillsboro, IL, passed away on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at 7:29 a.m. at her residence. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 2, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home, Hillsboro, IL. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Rev. Ralph Ward of Hillsboro, IL will officiate. Burial will take place in Wares Grove Cemetery, Butler, IL.

Mrs. Hart was born on March 9, 1936, in Borger, Texas, to the late Robert L. and Eunice (Hodgkinson) Funk. Mrs Hart was a 1954 Graduate of Hillsboro High School, Hillsboro, IL. She was a self-employed owner and operator of Hart’s Grocery, and County Seat Antiques.

Mrs. Hart was also a Pre-K teacher for Coffeen, IL. Mrs. Hart lived in Irving, IL, and the Hillsboro, IL area for most of her life. She married James R. Hart on October 24, 1958 in Hernando MS.

He preceded on June 11, 2010. Mrs. Hart was a member of the Montgomery County Historical Society, Hillsboro, IL Country Club, and Hillsboro, IL Jaycees. She loved being around children.

Mrs. Hart is survived by three children, Beth Anne Hart, Lake Zurich, IL, Dr. Eric Hart, Chicago, IL, and son-in-law David Titsworth, Hillsboro, IL; seven grandchildren, Carrie Liebsher, Nichole Liebsher, Dylan Titsworth, Michael Hart, Desi Hart, Bianca Hart, and Isaiah Hart; and five great grandchildren, Colin Liebsher, Kayden Liebsher, Chanse Liebser, Reilley Owens, and Delaney Owens. Mrs. Hart was also preceded in death by one child, Lisa Titsworth, one grandchild, Levi Titsworth, and one great-grandchild, Ezekiel Owens. Memorials may be given to Hillsboro Educational Foundation.
