Wendy Hollifield Sigmon Oxford, age 44, of Old Fort, was called to her heavenly home on Saturday, May 19, 2018 after a period of declining Health. She was a native of McDowell County, born on August 22, 1973 to Bobby Dean Hollifield and to the late Brenda Hollifield Guderian. She was a very loving and forgiving person, who loved everyone, especially children.

Wendy could make friends with anyone, and never met a stranger. Wendy loved to sew, especially Christmas curtains that she would leave up all year because of the Cardinals that were on them. She had a passion for animals, specifically her horses and dogs; but more so her most recent puppy, Callie which was a Catahoula that she had always wanted.

She will be deeply missed by her family, but will continue to live through their memories of what a great mother, wonderful wife, and special daughter that she was. In addition to her father, who loved her very much, left behind to cherish her memory is her loving husband of six years Ben Oxford of the home; three children, Aaron Sigmon of Marion, Angel Sigmon of Marion, and Cain Page of Marion; three step children, Jordan Porter of Missouri, Casey Oxford of Hickory, and Christopher Oxford of Hickory; a sister Shelley Roberts of Old Fort, and three brothers, Jamie Hollifield of Marion, Matt Croom of Texas, and Kyle Croom of Rutherford. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 between the hours of 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Westmoreland Funeral of Marion.

Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Tim Sigmon officiating.
