Wilbur Carwin Johnson September 02, 1919 – January 12, 2019 Local Florists Send Sympathy Gifts Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Wilbur Carwin Johnson son of the late Marjorie Chandler Johnson and Frank Johnson was born in Letcher, South Dakota, on September 2, 1919. He departed this life at Presbyterian Manor in Farmington, Missouri, on January 12, 2019, at the age of 99. On April 2, 1942, in Danville, Illinois, Wilbur was united in marriage to Frances Gladman and to this union three children were born.

Wilbur was a Retired Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force. After his retirement Wilbur worked as a civil service employee for an additional 20 years. He was a member of the Armstrong United Methodist Church in Armstrong, Illinois.

Wilbur enjoyed riding his Harley, reading, doing wood carvings and going to junk shops and auctions. Wilbur was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one brother, Francis Johnson, two sisters, Dorothy Crosswait and Marjorie Dundas and one grandson, Greg Skoog. Wilbur is survived by one son, Thomas Johnson and wife Nancy of Cambridge, Ohio, two daughters, Jill Hood and husband Dale of Lesterville, Missouri, Susan Skoog and husband Brian of Danville, Illinois.

Wilbur is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren that will mourn his passing. No services are planned at this time.
