Willa’s Obituary Willa Mae Kackley, age 90, passed away on Saturday Feb 2, at Glade Valley Nursing and Rehab Center in Walkersville, MD. Born on August 5, 1928, she was the daughter to the late Edgar Marin and Ruth Marcella (Jones) Kackley. Willa graduated from high school in Berryville, VA and completed her Bachelor and Master’s Degree at James Madison University.

She worked as a teacher and principal in Carroll and Baltimore County public schools. Upon her retirement, Ms. Kackley moved to Sarasota, FL, where she lived for over 20 years. She returned to Westminster, MD and lived in Maryland since 2000.

She is survived by sisters, Helen Light and Nancy Berlin a brother, Lawrence Kackley and she was the beloved aunt of twelve nieces and nephews and their families. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by sister Kathryn Morris, brother John Kackley, one niece, and one nephew. A memorial service will be held 11:00 A. M. on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Enders & Shirley Funeral Home Chapel, Berryville, VA.

Inurnment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Helping Children Worldwide, 14101 Parke Long Ct, Suite T, Chantilly, VA 20151.
