Dennis’ Obituary Dennis Marvin Dale, 74, of Stephens City, Virginia, died Thursday, March 21, 2019 at his home. A loving husband, father, brother, and friend to everyone he met. Dennis was fully committed in marriage, military service, raising his kids, loving grandkids, providing for his loved ones, and doing the hard things in life.

His family fondly reflects on an important time later in his life when he came to the understanding of his great need for Jesus Christ as his savior. Because of this time of trusting in the finished work of Jesus’ death, he now is enjoying the heaven he hoped for in his later years of life. Mr. Dale was born May 24, 1944 in Winchester, Virginia, son of the late Robert Brown Dale, Sr. and Iona Harry Dale.

He was a retired electrician and had worked for Rubbermaid, Ashworth Brothers and Winchester Electric. He served in the U. S. Navy for four years during the Vietnam Era. He enjoyed many years attending the annual reunion of the USS Joseph Strauss with his shipmate friends.

He was a member of Valley Bible Church in Stephens City. He married his sweetheart, Martha Strawderman Dale on October 7, 1966 in Winchester, Virginia. Mrs. Dale preceded him in death on November 14, 2014.

Surviving are a daughter, Rebecca Bowers and her husband, Joe, of Winchester, VA; son, Dennis L. Dale and his wife, Sara, of Fort Atkinson, WI; sister, Judith Dale Forman of New Braunfels, TX; and four grandchildren, Lyndsey, Cody, Ansley and Ayden. A brother, Robert Dale, is deceased. The family will receive guests 2:00 – 4:00 P.M. Sunday, March 24, 2019 at Valley Bible Church, 578 Double Church Rd.

, Stephens City, with a Celebration of Life Service at 4:00 P. M. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Valley Bible Church, 578 Double Church Rd. , Stephens City, VA 22655 or to Martinsburg VAMC Volunteer Service, 510 Butler Ave. , Martinsburg, WV 25405.
