William C. Graves was born on April 12, 1941, in Salem, New Jersey, the son of Catherine Elizabeth Graves and Lucy Mae and William Watson. He departed this life at home on March 3, 2019, in New Castle, Delaware. Mr. Graves had worked as a welder for Amtrak.

He was preceded in death by his late wife, Ruth Graves and his sister, Elizabeth Graves. He leaves to cherish his memory children, William Michael Graves (Annette), Renee Gregory (Richard), Anita Means (Gary). and Lemont Graves; 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, other family and friends.

Mr. Graves will have a viewing on Monday, March 11, 2019, from 9-11:00 am, at Congo Funeral Home, 2317 N. Market Street, Wilmington, DE 19802. His interment will be in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. Dupont Highway, New Castle, DE 19720, immediately following the viewing.
