Obituary for William Ramsey William D. Ramsey,64, of Port Matilda, loving husband, father and grandfather went to be with the Lord with his family by his side Monday April 16, 2018 at Mt. Nittany Medical Center. He was born August 11, 1953 in Altoona, a son of Shannon and Jane (Conrad) Ramsey.

On September 14, 1974 at Port Matilda Methodist Church he married Cathy J. Neff. Surviving are his wife, two daughters; Shawna Clark and husband Kenneth of Waynesboro, Mississippi, Abigail Smith and husband David Thomas of Hamden, Connecticut, a son, William S. and fiancee April Barnes of Tyrone, a grandson Jaxon Ramsey, a granddaughter Grace Elizabeth Wagner, his mother of Port Matilda and two sisters Sharon Helsel of Duncansville and Kathy Goss of Port Matilda. He was preceded in death by two sisters; Patricia Wertz and Marcia Tepsic.

Mr. Ramsey retired on disability in 2008 from Kunzler, Tyrone in electrical maintenance following five years service. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church.

He was a 1971 graduate of Tyrone Area High School and a 1974 graduate of the Harrisburg Institute of Electronics with a degree in Electrical Engineering. Bill loved his grandchildren and his dog Patches. He was an avid horseman and outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and kayaking.

He will be remembered by his family and friends for his help and expertise in building and construction. Memorial services will be held Friday April 20, 2018 at 11 A.M. at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church with Pastor Sam Reese officiating.
