Blenheim, SC William “Eddie” Edward Dial, 81, passed away Sunday May 27, 2018 at Regency Hospital in Florence, SC after a lengthy illness. Born October 17, 1936 in Blenheim SC, he was a son of the late William Cousar and Marcella Driggers Dial. Mr. Eddie had attended Salem Baptist Church early in his life and later he attended Parnassus United Methodist Church and Bethel United Methodist.

He was a graduate of Lower Marlboro High School and Chesterfield-Marlboro Technical College, where he received an associates degree in Drafting. Mr. Eddie served in the 82nd Airborne for 3 years and the Army National Guard for 30 years. He also enjoyed making pottery.

He is survived by his son, Karl V. Dial of Bardstown, KY; brother, James Thomas Dial and wife Emogene of Latta, SC; sisters, Eleanor Fine of Bennettsville, Ann Askins of West Columbia, SC and Deborah Kelly of St. Petersburg, Fl; granddaughters, Madigan Dial, McKenzie Dial and Jennifer Pruitt; great grandchildren, Skylar, Landen, Jayden and Kaliyah; Canine Son, Jake Dial. He was preceded in death by his parents listed above; daughter Cynthia Dial Pruitt; nephew, Greg Askins. A memorial service will be held at Burroughs Funeral Home at a later date.
