William Hisiro, 94 of Fallowfield Twp. died peacefully in his sleep on Friday, April 20, 2018. Bill was born on November 8, 1923, in a log cabin in Johnstown; he was the son of John and Helen Klanduck Hisiro.

Bill was a devoted husband to Helen Herent Hisiro. They celebrated 70 years of marriage on June 11, 2017. Bill served in the U. S. Army during WWII with the 803rd chemical company.

He served in England, France, Germany and Austria. Bill worked in steel mills in both Donora and Monessen. He retired from the maintenance department at California State College.

Bill was a long time member of the Christ Lutheran Church in Charleroi where he served as an usher for 50 years. Bill loved animals, gardening, spending time with family and sharing WWII stories with his grandsons. In addition to his wife Bill is survived by two children William E. Hisiro of Speers and Karen and Ozzie Gavazzi of Cecil.

Grandchildren Brian Gavazzi, Justin & Emily Gavazzi and Zoe & Julian Evans. Two great-grandsons Devin & Hunter Evans, and daughter-in-law Sally Hisiro of Virginia. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother John and Sister Irene.

Friends will be received on Tuesday April 24, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. in the Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc. 226 Fallowfield Ave. Charleroi, Pa 15022, were services will be held on Wednesday at 10 am with Pastor Robb Grewe officiating.

Interment will follow in Monongahela Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.
