WINSTED – William “Bill” J. Dillon, 74, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 7, 2018. He was the loving husband of Nancy (Amstead) Dillon for 49 years. Born July 20, 1944 in Torrington; the son of the late Samuel and Frances (Feuerstein) Dillon.

Bill proudly served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He worked for many years at The Hartford. He enjoyed fishing, photography and camping.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Christopher (Rachael) Dillon of Winsted and Matthew (Deirdre Whelan) of Winsted; and two grandsons, Jagger and Devin “Isaac”.

He was predeceased by two brothers and their wives, Samuel (Lorraine) and John (Louise). He was also predeceased by his beloved Dachshunds whom he rescued, Greta, Molly and Bud. Friends may call on Friday, October 12, 2018 at Montano-Shea Funeral Home, 922 Main Street, Winsted from 5 – 7 PM.
