William L. Dillon, age 84, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, April 27, 2018. William was born on February 14, 1934 in Vincennes, IN to the late Victor and Linnie Dillon. On May 29, 1969, William married Sue Ann (Schmeltz) Dillon, who preceded him in death on January 5, 2013.

William was dedicated employee of Uniroyal Corporation, retiring from his position as a laborer on April 21, 1991 after 40 years of service. William was a US Navy veteran and proudly served his country during the Korean Conflict. William is survived by his loving children: Christina Dillon of Mishawaka, Billie Jean Fleming of Hemet, California and Thomas Matthew Dillon of Rice, Texas; five grandchildren; one great-grandchildren, and a brother, Forrest Dillon of Mayo, Florida.

William was preceded in death by his beloved companion and wife of nearly 50 years, Sue Ann Schmeltz-Dillon; brother Richard Dillon and sister Vivian Reasnor. Services for William Dillon will be held on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. at Palmer Funeral Home – River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend. Pastor Bob Vale will officiate.
